Which date? Nothing is decided yet. Just cast your vote and we’ll see. Most can, it appears do the 1st

Okay, following the vote, we'll stick to the 1st of June. Sorry to those who can't make that date.

My plan is to run the route tomorrow with Rune (Webbr) and then firm up times and venues.

Would anyone be interested in having a meal at the Bluebell Inn afterwards?

Hi everyone,

With Turbo40, I've been a bit pre-occupied! Now I'm getting near the end with that event, it's time to look at this.

We're definitely going for the 1st of June. Starting point will be near Gainsborough and will end at Woodhall Spa airfield. We're taking in around 15 airfields this time and its a very different route to the previous runs- if you've dont this before, it'll feel nice and fresh.

We're stopping at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre to look around their marvelous museum. We're even promised special access to drive onto the old airfield and park in front of the Lancaster's hangar. The doors will be opened for some outstanding photo opportunities. If the weather is good, Just Jane might come outside too!

Once we're finished at the museum, we'll go on to Woodhall Spa airbase. It's mostly intact and owned by the RSPB. We have special permission to walk the airfield and I've been given the access codes for that too. It's a haunting place and, if you came last year bookends the other run too- this is the airfield that Guy Gibson took off from and never returned.

I have some contacts at the BBMF and, if they're due to fly that day, we'll try to get to Conningsby to watch them come home.

Finally, if I have some interest, I'll book a table at the Bluebell Inn. This is an amazing little pub with a great story.

This year, thanks to the Lincolnshire Aviation Museum, we will be issuing a very special trophy for the best photo that includes a 924 and something related to the RAF.

Please can you confirm you're coming again below and if you're interested in having a meal? I can take bookings up to the Wednesday before but the more notice the better- It takes a fair bit of organising!

Definitely up for this as I should have my car back by then. Not sure I'll be able to make the meal, but I'll be able to confirm nearer the time if that's OK?

I'm definitely up for this, but I think I'll have to miss the meal as well I'm afraid.

Blyton Park is now confirmed as the starting point:

https://www.blytonpark.co.uk

The circuit is based at the Bomber Base that was there. A small cafe to get a breakfast and we’ll be ready to go!
