The Porsche 924 Owners Club

So the sills I got supplied with my project 924 turbo were of course for a 924 NA. Any tips and diagrams for making and welding on the trim mounting ‘channels’ please or does someone still supply preprepared ones for a turbo? Thank you.

You will have to make them yourself. Porsche only supplied the sill and the clips separately when they were selling sills.
Both are now NLA.

Ok thank you. Hopefully they can copy what’s on the old rusty ones.

Also the top channel along top of the sill. All needs fabrication or a non rusty donor vehicle.

Anyone know a good fabricator for these sills please? Apparently they need a fold...

Same as stock 924 but with a U shaped channel welded to the top edge. Not too hard for any bodyshop metal worker. My body shop did it as part of the front wing rebuilds

My garage seems to think it needs a metal fold? Any good diagrams out there?

Metal fold, U channel, some thing. Its a separate channel that needs to be made and welded onto the sill and/or wing.

You can see it on the crease of sill to body line. Its an attachment to a stock 924 sill, not part of the sill. The sills are the same part from the U shaped attachment. The sill cover slides down its length to attach to the car. Same with the 4 clips below it which are welded on. The 2 end ones are bolts to the car.
